Biological and Genetic Innovation

We developed the first generation of biologically active antibiotics, rather than simple chemical agents - this bacteria is actually Escheridia Coli (E. Coli) which is used frequently in bioengineering. Through genetic manipulation and the use of standard biological parts, we were able to develop a new treatment for terminal bacterial infections in patients with severe kidney and liver function compromise. Historically, antibiotics cannot be used in these patients because typical chemical agents place strain on the kidneys and the liver, causing multiple organ failures. With this technology not only is this issue resolved by limiting exposure through cell membrane injection only, it also limits the ability of resistance significantly, typically taking an estimated time of 5200 years for bacteria to become resistant. |
Business and Finance Innovation
| The Avalon.sk Technology Group had significant involvement in creating Wonga.com, which is a loan company that lends over the internet only with loans approved with complex computer and economic analysis, all automatic, instantly. Our innovation was to create a way of lending which solved the issue of customers feeling accountable to financial institutions and otherwise improving access to finance. Through integration with Experian Ltd.'s vast business intelligence database, including credit reports, we were able to create an engine which could automate lending based on probable analysis. | ![]() |

Another fantastic invention we came up with in 2010 alone was iso-flurographene which is a chemical that looks like graphite but forms tiny holes in its structure when a small electric current is applied to it. Not only can this be used to create conditional membranes for chemical reactors in industry, preventing loss of material by 90%, but when broken down into small crystals it can be used to regulate how thick a liquid is, subsequently controlling reaction speeds - that ability alone means that reaction speeds can be controlled without altering the temperature, therefore it can be used to make polymerase chain reactions in the biotechnology industry 98% more cost-effective. |
Computer Engineering and Innovation
| To meet consumer demand, we created one of the first 3G Voice-Over-IP encoders which meant as a result, operators like Skype could offer their VOIP solutions over the mobile internet, increasing their market presence dramatically to customers. In addition, it increased competition within that sector. Eventually, after network providers officially recognised VOIP as a revenue channel and supported it, the Ministy of Defence in the United Kingdom began using it to provide a way for families to communicate with soldiers, when not on the battlefield, completely free of charge - it was also used to develop several push-to-talk systems. | ![]() |

In addition to our bespoke range of FPGAs, we also develop microprocessors and microcontrollers. Further, in order to aid technology development or integration projects, we develop electronic instruments as required by the job. The use of these instruments varies greatly - for example, we have developed inexpensive asset tracking devices for small businesses as well as medical devices for the National Health Service. Many of our more complex deployments for larger organisations involve complex very large-scale integration and the development of chipsets to support the products of VLSI. Our latest project in development is a contactless surgical device that can break blood-clots as well as perform cuts without transcutaneous invasion - this is what we mean when we say innovation. |
Marketing and Economic Regulation

All modern businesses rely on constant information about the market, especially in terms of marketing response analytics and changes in the economy. Therefore, all of our technologies are built to interpret what's going on and respond as needed with minimal or no intervention. Information from the stock market is often delayed, and it is this timeframe that determines successful share traders from those who trade on the common scale. Therefore, all devices built to be shaped by economic information use predictive analytics to determine what will go on in the next twenty minutes that you won't find out until after its happened. In the past, we have built targetted advertising systems based on hourly, daily or weekly data. |
